Mexico’s infrastructure is world-class. In the last few years, the country has received international awards for the quality and capacity of its venues:

Renowned Venues and Festivals:

  • Auditorio Nacional: Mexico’s Auditorio Nacional has been ranked top global scenario for artistic shows by Pollstar magazine.
  • In their special 2007 edition, the magazine pointed out that the Auditorio Nacional was better ranked tan venues such as the Fox Theatre, in Atlanta; Radio City Music Hal and Madison Square Garden, in New York City; the Universal Amphitheatre, in Los Angeles and the Heineken Music Hall, in Amsterdam.

    The Auditorio was designed by two Mexican architects: Pedro Ramírez Vázquez and Gonzalo Ramírez del Sordo, and it was completely remodeled by Abraham Zabludovsky and Teodoro González de León.

  • Guadalajara International Book Fair: More and more famous every year, this is the most outstanding meeting of the Spanish-language publishing world.
  • Authors, literary agents, librarians, booksellers and more than 925 publishing houses from 40 countries visit it every year. With them it receives over half a million visitors.
    In 2010, the Guest of Honor will be the community of Castilla y Leon.

  • Festival Internacional Cervantino: This is Mexico’s and Latin America’s most important and traditional culture and arts event.
  • The Festival is held in October—19 days and 70 venues—and it showcases 300 artists from 25 countries from all around the world.
    It offers, in average, 450 shows and it receives close to 500,000 spectators in the cities of Guanajuato and Leon.

  • Guadalajara Film Festival: 25 years of experience, 229 films, 173 feature films, 250 directors, 411 screenings, 21 screens and 9 free shows.  
  • Morelia Film Festival: 7 years of history, 48,127 attendees, 800 registered Works, 421 national and international guests, 386 screenings, 6,130 attending viewers in Monterrey and the Federal District.
