•Siemens will invest 50 million dollars in the construction of research and development centers for high tension equipment in Queretaro. By 2015, the company expects to create more than 500 new jobs for its facilities in this state.

•Electrolux y Plexus opened two new plants in Ciudad Juarez in June 2011, representing a 30 million dollar investment and 1000 new jobs for the manufacture of refrigerators, washing machines and dryers.

•Embraco, a global company in the refrigeration compressor market, announced the construction of its first manufacturing facilities in Monterrey. The project will begin operations in August 2011, with an estimated 90 million dollar investment and the creation of 500 jobs.
